Turface SlideMaster is an infield topdressing made from expanded shale / fired clay, crushed, fired and uniformly screened to create a consistent sliding surface for baseball and softball skinned infields. It provides solid, safe footing and helps improve overall playability while enhancing ball visibility with its natural Terra-Cotta Red color. The product is sized from 6 to 20 mesh with typical particle composition of 98–95% sand, 1.0–0.5% silt and 1.0–0.5% clay, and is packaged in 50 pound bags. Applied as a 1/8″ topdressing layer at 700 lbs per 1,000 square feet, Turface SlideMaster can complement calcined clay conditioners or be used as a single topdressing product, especially as a sliding surface in hot or dry conditions.
