At Lebanon Valley College’s natural, native soil football field, hurricane Ernesto brought almost four inches of rain just before a home game. Grounds director Kevin Yeiser turned to PROFILE® Products LLC’s Turface® Athletics™ Field & Fairway® topdressing to soak up excess moisture, maintain a safe playing surface and protect his award-winning field from severe damage. Applying about one-and-a-half tons before the game and additional bags during pre-game and halftime helped the product absorb up to 90 percent of its weight in water, limit turf damage, and support quick turf recovery that impressed visiting coaches.
