Construction EcoServices adviseerde<sup>het GreenArmor<\/sup> System van Profile, een combinatie van<sup>Futerra\u00ae<\/sup> TRM\u2019s,<sup>Flexterra\u00ae<\/sup><sup>HP-FGM\u00ae<\/sup>,<sup>ProGanics\u00ae<\/sup> BSM\u2122 en<sup>ProPlus\u00ae<\/sup> bodemverbeteraars met scharnierende betonblokken en structurele herstelwerkzaamheden om steile, moeilijk toegankelijke hellingen te stabiliseren. Vloeibare vulgrond, erosiebestrijdingsmaterialen en begroeiing werkten samen om het gebouw te beschermen en het terrein te herstellen. Toen de tropische storm Imelda later de bayou onder water zette, hield de versterkte helling stand, bleef het beschermde gedeelte van het Wortham Center droog en bewees de oplossing zijn kracht onder extreme omstandigheden.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"h-key-points\" class=\"wp-block-heading mb-3 display-5\">Belangrijkste punten<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list mb-10\">\n<li>Orkaan Harvey zorgde voor bijna 63 inch (1.600 mm) regen, waardoor het waterpeil in de Buffalo Bayou meer dan 40 voet (12,2 m) boven het gemiddelde waterpeil uitkwam en hellingen en de muur van de parkeergarage Bayou Place werden ondermijnd.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>De stad heeft gekozen voor het door Construction EcoServices aanbevolen GreenArmor System, een versterkte begroeiingsoplossing die twee keer zo erosiebestendig is als natuurlijke begroeiing en 30 tot 50 procent goedkoper is dan harde beschermingsconstructies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aanleg met een combinatie van vloeibare vulgrond, meer dan 3.000 scharnierende betonblokken,<sup>Futerra\u00ae<\/sup> 7020 TRM,<sup>ProGanics\u00ae<\/sup> BSM\u2122, Aqua-pHix\u2122, Jumpstart\u2122, BioPrime\u2122 en<sup>Flexterra\u00ae<\/sup><sup>HP-FGM\u00ae<\/sup> op steile hellingen met beperkte toegankelijkheid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drie maanden na de installatie viel er tijdens de tropische storm Imelda 42 inch (1.067 mm) regen, maar de gerenoveerde helling hield stand, het beschermde gedeelte van het Wortham Center bleef droog en het GreenArmor System \u201ewerkte uitstekend\u201c.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Restoring and Reinforcing Slopes in Houston&amp;apos;s Hurricane Country\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/43PCqSTODkg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nadat orkaan Harvey de hellingen langs de Buffalo Bayou, naast het Wortham Center en Bayou Place in Houston, ernstig had beschadigd, ging de stad op zoek naar een kosteneffectiever en milieuvriendelijker alternatief voor harde beschermingsconstructies.
