  1- To estimate blanket rolls per acre, include 5-7% waste for blanket overlaps, trenches and check slots. 5,082 square yards of blanket is based on 4,840 square yards per acre with 5% waste.  
  2- Metal pins and staples can cause safety issues as they may be a dangerous protrusion from the ground or become a projectile from mowing equipment. Additionally, damage to mowing equipment blades and tires from these objects has been recorded. Installation of these pins introduce non-degradable metal into the environment.  
  3-  Soil amendments could include ProGanics BSM, BioPrime, JumpStart, NeutraLime, and Aqua-pHix  
  4- Hydraulic seeding equipment would typically be used for placement of seed, Biotic Soil Media and soil amendments when employing either erosion control technology.  
  5- Hydraulically-applied products do not require smooth grading and in fact perform better on rough graded or cat-tracked slopes.   
  6- Plastic netting used on blankets has negative environmental and maintenance impacts. Single net blankets introduce > 100 lb of netting per acre that can entangle wildlife, domesticed animals and maintenance equipment. Further  plastic netting is designed to photodegrade, break loose and be introduced into the environment, often being deposited in water bodies where it can cause issues with fish and other aquatic organisms. Please consider specifying or using open weave nettings from jute or other natural biodegrable fibers that reduce the likelihood of entanglement. Based on average erosion plastic netting weight of 2.1 lb/per 100 sy single net roll and 4.2 lb/per 100 sy double net roll.

  8- Based on 11 gauge 6"x 1"x 6" staples weighing an average of 0.6 ounces x Boxes per acre x 1,000 staples per box. Depending on site conditions, staple pattern recommendations may be adjusted between 0.6-1.9 staples/yd2.
