This section specifies a permanent Geosynthetic Turf Reinforcement Mat (TRM) with soil infill, to prevent long-term soil and vegetation loss resulting from excessive water flow (velocity and shear stress) in which unreinforced vegetation could not resist. The soil fill will interact within the TRM and root structure of the vegetation to create a composite reinforced system.
